Dressing on the Side: Hold the Khakis and Show Your Colors

If you observed Lent, you had to give up something. And I really hope it was khaki.

By Maureen Mancini Amaturo

If you observed Lent, you had to give up something. And I really hope it was khaki.

Step away from the blend-in beige for just a couple of weeks and grab a pair of printed denim, graphic, or floral cotton, bold color, or dare I say it, black. Yes, black. Let’s call it community beautification.

Kick khaki to the back of the closet for just ten days. You can do it. If you find your personality shifting, go with it. If you can’t continue without khaki, then at least grab a fun, colorful spring bag or citrus-colored top for a fashion energy boost.
