It’s not always easy to get the crowd to an event — other than a Garnets game — by 6 on a Friday night. But the Rye Free Reading Room has its fan base, too, and, on October 25, close to 200 of them headed to the library to thank the staff and board for 100 wonderful years of service and programs.

The following morning, readers strolled in to meet and chat with several of Rye’s most prolific and accomplished authors.
