Charlotte Rodes Gerrish and Simon Emlyn Koster were married on June 24, 2017 at The University Club in New York City. The Rev. Daniel Love performed the ceremony.

The bride, 31, is a second grade teacher at St. Bernard’s School in New York City. She graduated from Bates College and received a Master’s degree in Education from Manhattanville College. She is the daughter of Jannie and Campbell Gerrish of Rye. The bride’s father is a principal and founder of the Winged Keel Group. Her mother is an art consultant.

The groom, 36, is a partner at JDS Development Group. He graduated from Rutgers and received a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is the son of Maryse and Emlyn Koster of Raleigh, North Carolina. The groom’s father is Director of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.

The bride and groom were both leaders for Overland, an outdoor adventure company based in Williamstown, Mass. They never led a trip together, but were introduced by mutual friends.

The bride and groom honeymooned in Canada, doing things they love to do together, mountain biking, hiking, and surfing. They reside in New York City.
