Benincasa — Kirk

Amanda Benincasa and Aaron Kirk were married on June 3, 2023, at Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa in Milton, N.Y. The bride’s sister, Christina Benincasa, officiated. Family and friends joined the couple for a weekend of festivities.

The couple met while they were both living and working in Nashville, Tenn. Amanda was an event coordinator at Lightning 100 radio station, and Aaron was working as a photographer.

The bride is the daughter of Diana and Gabriel Benincasa, both of Queens. N.Y. A graduate of Rye High School, class of 2011, she was a member of the Girls’ Varsity Soccer team that won the State Championship in 2010. She went on to Boston University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television.

After spending four years in Nashville, she returned to New York and attended Fordham Law School. She received her JD in 2022 and was admitted to the NY State Bar this past August. She works as an Associate in the Corporate practice of Wollmuth Maher & Deutsch in New York City.

The groom is the son of Elaine Powell of Waco, Tx., and Douglas Powell of Klamath Falls, Ore. In 2010, he graduated from Homewood High School in Alabama, where he was a member of the Varsity Golf team. He graduated from Auburn University in 2014 with a B.S. in Accounting. He works as a freelance photographer specializing in portraiture and storytelling in New York City.   The couple traveled to Croatia for their honeymoon. They currently reside in Park Slope, Brooklyn, with their cat, Poncho.
