Incumbent Councilman Richard Mecca is running for re-election. Joining him on the ticket are Jim Culyer, former Rye City School Board President (2004-08), and Leon Sculti, current Rye Golf Club Commission Chairman.
The three candidates have collectively called Rye home for nearly a century, and each has served the City in significant leadership positions during that time.
Mecca, Culyer, and Sculti say they are committed to: preserving our quality of life, working to enhance our property values, maintaining important revenue streams, and drafting an updated master plan with extensive community input.
The three candidates have diverse track records of investing their time and talents to the betterment of Rye. But their motivation for serving is a singular one: to remain “True to Rye.”
