The schedule is August 6: “When Jews Were Funny.” A documentary film by Canadian director Alan Zweig, released in 2013, which explores the role of Jewish comedians in the history of North American comedy and humor from the Borscht belt to the present day.

August 13: “Broadway Musicals: A Jewish Legacy.”  Engaging, humorous, and provocative, this film examines the unique role of Jewish composers and lyricists in the creation of the modern American musical.

August 20: “When Do We Eat?” The story of a dysfunctional Jewish family’s first Passover Seder in three years and the tension is high. Before the Seder, Zeke slips his father a pill that he believes to be a combination of ecstasy and LSD. As the night continues, the family releases secrets that cause fights but bring them closer in the end.
