Holy Child’s golf squad has been growing in numbers. This year’s team boasted 17 players including seven seniors and six freshmen.
The Gryphons’ leading golfer is up-and-coming sophomore star Maggie Curtis.
Meghan Meyers and Katie Rogan were this season’s senior captains, helping compile a record of 3-9.
“We’ve competed very well, but we have come up just short on a couple of occasions,’’ said Coach Mike Duignan, after a match against Rye Country Day at Westchester Country Club. “The Fairchester Athletic Association is a very competitive league and we are happy to compete with the area’s best.”
“Our program is strong in numbers and in enthusiasm,” Duignan added. “We are learning a life sport that teaches life lessons and we are having fun!”
