At School of the Holy Child’s 25th Annual Auction & Gala, “Honoring Our Heritage” was the theme. The event, held April 6 at Westchester Country Club, drew more than 400 guests who came to honor Chris and Peter Duncan and support the school.

As part of the evening’s festivities, Head of School Ann Sullivan and Board Chair Alfred F. Kelly Jr. presented the Duncans with the Holy Child Medal in recognition of their years of service and commitment. “Chris and Peter have been dedicated to the success of Holy Child since their daughters, Parrish and Hadley, enrolled at Holy Child more than a decade ago,” said Sullivan, who will leave Holy Child on June 30 and assume her new role as Interim Head of the Lincoln School for Girls in Providence, Rhode Island.

“I have been blessed to know the Duncans as friends, as talented doers, as cheerleaders, hosts, and advocates for our school,” continued Sullivan. “Over the years, through their vision and generosity, and under Peter’s direction as Trustee and Buildings & Grounds Chair, Holy Child has gained a beautiful chapel, a renovated middle school, and new arts and dining spaces, and will soon embark upon an exciting journey to build a new field house for athletics and a state-of-the-art theatre.”

Kelly, who served as the auctioneer for the 13th consecutive year, made sure no items went unclaimed. Guests bid on vacation and golfing packages, sports tickets, and more. Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino was on hand to deliver a proclamation in honor of the Duncans and Holy Child, as were New York State Senator George Latimer, State Assemblyman David Buchwald, and Rye City Councilwoman Julie Killian.

Among the many parent volunteers who made the evening so special were Cathy Hogan, who chaired the occasion, Bobbi Cavicchio and Kathleen Perkal, who co-chaired the live auction, and Christina Casey Webers, who chaired the silent auction.
