Four years ago this month, Gigi Shanes-Hernandez died after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Her daughter Tara continues to fight on her mother’s behalf, raising funds for research through the Westchester Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk. She hopes you will join Gigi’s Team for the fourth annual walk Sunday, April 21 at Rye Town Park. “It’s a very scenic walk along Long Island Sound and one that my mom loved to take with family and friends every day,” said Tara.
Invite the whole family, friends, and co-workers. Volunteers are needed for set up, registration, helping with food tables and children’s activities. Community service hours can be earned.
