The Changing Landscape at Rye’s Young and International Gallery

Open for less than a year, AiBo Gallery on Purdy Avenue has more walk-in visitors than all the Rye nail salons combined.

Open for less than a year, AiBo Gallery on Purdy Avenue has more walk-in visitors than all the Rye nail salons combined. When the Chamber of Commerce hands out its next round of awards, the gallery deserves one for Beautification. Owner Glenn Aber took an empty storefront and transformed it. He represents a culturally diverse and high-quality group of contemporary artists and has brought the world to downtown Rye through art. He credits all his years in the textile business, which took him far afield.

In March, AiBo hosted a Sculpture Show featuring stainless steel and glass works from Korean artists. Earlier this month he featured “Happy Art” by Rye Brook mom Marla Best Enowitz.

In mid-May, Aber is hosting an invitation-only Art and Wine Talk. Cheers to that!
