Lillian Rose Candreva, loving wife, mother, and sister, passed away on October 26, 2021, at the age of 82.

Born on August 4, 1939, the daughter of Rose and Frank Tocci, she grew up in the Bronx, N.Y. After attending Preston High School, she received an undergraduate degree in Math from the College of New Rochelle. She later earned a master’s degree at Iona College.

In 1969, she married Ferdinando Candreva at St. Benedict’s Church in the Bronx.

In 1977, they moved to Rye to raise their children.

Mrs. Candreva was deeply devoted both to her family and to her career and carved out a life path that allowed her to enjoy both. She worked in computer programming for several years in the 1960s, when both computers and career women were a bit of a novelty, before taking time off to devote herself to raising her children and being with family.

She loved hosting holiday meals and could transform a regular weeknight dinner into something that felt like a holiday feast. As her children grew older, she returned to the career she loved, starting Westnet, an internet service provider, with her son.

In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her brother, Ray Tocci and his wife Lucy Tocci; and by her three grandchildren, Andrew, Marjorie, and Dylan. She will be dearly missed by all.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated November 1 at Church of the Resurrection.

Donations in Mrs. Candreva’s memory may be made to Gilda’s Club (gildasclubwestchester.org), Soul Ryeders (soulryeders.org), or the American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
