The Rye Arts Center was a cacophony of humming, beeping, whirring, and buzzing, as well as all the sounds of children having a great time, creating and learning at the Center’s very successful Maker Day Event.
Maker Day included workshops and demos of 3D printing, computer design, and coding, as well as some very fun hands-on creating of robotics using LEGO and K’NEX. And for those looking for a more traditional creative outlet, there were workshops on paper engineering, duct tape construction, and one in which children created art from recycled materials.
Whether using a keyboard or a glue gun, the kids had a STEAMing good time.
