On Friday, March 16 representatives from Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center will visit the Locust Avenue firehouse to recognize the Rye Professional Firefighters for their dedication to children’s health during a casual ceremony.
For more than 10 years the Rye Firefighters have been one of the strongest and most consistent supporters of the hospital, which treats the region’s most seriously ill and injured children. Through golf tournaments, “boot drives”, and other initiatives, “Rye’s Bravest” have raised more than $60,000.
In addition, during this ceremony the hospital is expected to receive yet another generous donation from the Rye firefighters.
