MOMENTUM: Fit Fun for Tweens and Teens

Two local moms, Robin Hoberman and Kori Sassower, committed to fitness and with experience in marketing and finance, had a vision. They wanted to provide the same fitness options for children that are available to their parents.

Two local moms, Robin Hoberman and Kori Sassower, committed to fitness and with experience in marketing and finance, had a vision. They wanted to provide the same fitness options for children that are available to their parents.

“Why should kids sit, waiting while their parents exercise, and not have their own place?” as Sassower put it.

The result of their thinking is MOMENTUM, a fitness studio in Purchase specializing in exercise classes for tweens and teenagers ages 10 to 16. The founders believe that, given a professional and fun place to grow stronger and become more fit, children will continue to make fitness an integral part of their lives.

MOMENTUM offers classes in cycling, running, boot camp, Zumba, and core fusion. Sassower and Hoberman are certified American Fitness Professionals and Associates specialists and Schwinn cycling instructors. Exercise and healthy lifestyle have been part of their lives for many years. Since each of the women is raising three children in Westchester, they saw a real need and business opportunity for a fitness center like MOMENTUM in the community.

Classes are $25; a package of five classes is $100; and unlimited monthly classes are $150. For more information, visit momentumclassroom.com.
