WEDDINGS


Jenner — Tirpak

 

Beautiful Lake Tahoe, was the setting for the August 6 wedding of Lydia Randolph Jenner and Douglas Randolph Tirpak.

The bride is the daughter of Jesse and Tyler Jenner of Rye. She is a graduate of Rye High School and Smith College, where she majored in American History and minored in Spanish. She completed an ecological study in sustainable development with the School for Field Studies in Atenas, Costa Rica, and spent a semester at the Universidad de Cordoba in Spain. Prior to the wedding, she was Manager of Music and Talent for 2K Games and 2K Sports, a publishing subset of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.

 

The groom is the son of Randy and Pam Tirpak of Chandler, Arizona. He graduated from Corona High School in Tempe, Arizona, and from Prescott College, where he majored in Biology. He worked previously with the ski patrol at Squaw Valley, as a wild-land fire-fighter with the U.S. Forest Service, and as a flight paramedic. When the couple met in 2010, he was Manager of Hossfeld Family Vineyard in Napa, California. He is the owner of Alpine Timber Service, in Golden, Colorado, where the couple is now making their home.

 

After a weekend of wedding festivities, the couple spent their honeymoon on the Hawaiian island of Kauai.

 

 

Crotty — Walsh

 

Lindsay Kendra Crotty, the daughter of Pamela J. Crotty and Joseph P. Crotty of Bronxville, N.Y., was married October 15 to Oran Desmond St. Paul Walsh, a son of Mary Walsh and Aidan St. Paul Walsh OBE, of Rye Brook, N.Y. The Rev. Leonard Maloney, a Roman Catholic priest and the current Head Master of Clongowes Wood College, S.J., in County Kildare, Ireland, performed the ceremony at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye.

Mrs. Walsh, 26, is a Learning and Organizational Development Executive at Macquarie Holdings (U.S.A.) Inc. in New York City.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla.

 

Her father is an entrepreneur and restaurant consultant in the New York City area. Her mother is an English teacher at Eastchester Senior High School in Eastchester, N.Y.

 

Mr. Walsh, 29, is a Vice President in the Variable Annuity/Subadvised Group at Legg Mason Global Asset Management, LLC in New York.  He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland and is Series 7- and 66-licensed.

 

His mother formerly had her own interior design business. His father is Partner-in-Charge, International, at KPMG LLP,  serving previously as Chairman of the British-American Chamber of Commerce. In November 1995, he was invested with the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, for his services to British Trade and Commercial Interests in the United States.

 

After a two-week honeymoon in Lanai and Maui, the couple will return to Manhattan, where they plan to reside.


Show and Sell

 

Rye Pack 2 Cub Scouts are popping up all over town this month, with their Popcorn Fundraiser. Seventy percent of the funds they raise go directly into scouting. Pack 2 collects donations for the military and sends popcorn to our troops abroad.

 

The Brothers Rozowsky — Colin (Bear), Baron (Wolf), and Julian (Tiger) did a brisk business at Osborn School October 18.
