Weddings

Bates — Jovanovich

Bronwyn Bates and Nicholas Jovanovich were married at the Shackelford House in Albany, Georgia, March 23. Chris Mason, a friend of the groom’s, officiated.

The bride wore a gown by Vera Wang. She was attended by her matron of honor, Courtney Walker, and bridesmaids Suzanne Klein, Stephanie Shephard, Brittny Smith, Suzanne Vickery, and Sarah Martin, who is now her sister-in-law.

The best man was the groom’s brother, William. His groomsmen were Billy Oleson and Gary Benerofe, friends from Rye Country Day School, Jose Blanco-Sanchez, whom he met when they were tennis instructors in the Hamptons, Jim Dolente, and David Delott.

Friends and family traveled from far and wide  — Austria, Florida, Texas, and Arizona — to Georgia, as did a large contingent from Rye, to celebrate the occasion.

The couple honeymooned in Antigua before returning to their home in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Those Osborn Dads Can Dance

April brings with it more than showers, just ask the girls at Osborn Elementary School.

On April 5, 120 of them spent quality time with their fathers at the Osborn’s annual Daddy Daughter Sweetheart Dance.

The DJ had everyone on the dance floor.

And at evening’s end, each girl received a rose and heart-shaped chocolate.
