Williams — Hennes

 

Victoria B. Williams and Duncan P. Hennes Jr. were married July 28 by the Reverend Canon Susan Harriss at Christ’s Church in Rye. A reception followed at Westchester Country Club.

 

The bride, 25, teaches kindergarten at The Hewitt School, an independent school in Manhattan. In September, she will begin teaching the first grade. She graduated from Rye Country Day School and Vanderbilt University, and received a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Vanderbilt. She is studying for a Master’s degree in Childhood Special Education at Bank Street College of Education in Manhattan.

 

She is a daughter of Allan R. and Cynthia R. Williams of Harrison. Her father is a retired partner of Proskauer Rose LLP, an international law firm headquartered in Manhattan. Her mother is a Vice President Investment Officer at Wells Fargo Advisors in its Old Greenwich office.

 

The groom, also 25, is an Associate at Promontory Financial Group, LLC, a strategy, risk management, and regulatory compliance consulting firm focusing primarily on the financial services sector, in its Manhattan office. He graduated from Rye Country Day School and magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University, where he majored in Economics and History.

 

He is a son of Duncan P. and Laura B. Hennes of Rye. His father is a Co-Founder and Partner of Atrevida Partners, LLC, an investment management firm. Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Soros Fund Management and as an Executive Vice President and Treasurer of Bankers Trust Company. 

 

The couple traveled to Bora Bora. They will reside in Manhattan.

Engagements

Angilletta — Buffamante

Silvano (Sal) and Giselle Angilletta announce the engagement of their daughter, Danielle Angilletta, to Joseph Buffamante, son of Salvatore and LouAnn Buffamante of Hawthorne.

 

The future bride, a 2001 graduate of Rye High School, received a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication Studies from Iona College in 2005, and a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Lehman College in 2007. She is currently a Speech Language Pathologist for the Stamford Public School System.

 

The future groom is a 2000 graduate of Westlake High School and 2004 graduate of Manhattan College, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in Computer Information Systems. He is currently the Finance and Accounting Manager for a company in Manhattan and is pursuing his MBA through SUNY Empire State College.

 

The couple plan to be married next August in Rye.
