Mom Deserves Some Sparkle

With Mother’s Day fast approaching – it’s May 13 in case you haven’t got it in your calendar – it’s time for husbands and children to start thinking what would really please Mom.

With Mother’s Day fast approaching – it’s May 13 in case you haven’t got it in your calendar – it’s time for husbands and children to start thinking what would really please Mom.

Try sparkle. There are lots of cool — and inexpensive — bangles, necklaces, rings, and watches for sale at jewelers in Rye.

Speaking of cool, Wendy Weinreb at Woodrow Jewelers showed us the You-Cool collection of bracelets, whose logo is “Energy is Color”. Each stands for a different virtue: tenderness, friendship, joy, fun, etc.

This spring even watches are running on the colorful side. You can’t miss the Michele sport watches for women in bright hues. Perfect for the active — aren’t they all — mom in Rye.

But, if you’re tending towards the more romantic, Woodrow’s has the Romantica collection of silver hearts.

From silver to gold, Hanni Ackerman of Hanni Fine Jewelry, suggests: “Bangle bracelets in gold with color stones, diamonds, or just plain. Or think summer, with

turquoise jewelry in earrings, necklaces, and rings.”

Royal Jewels of Rye owner John Givelkian advises, “Pearls are perfect for Mother’s Day. They never fail to please.”

Why not a chain of love? Kathy Zaltas of Zaltas Gallery carries everything from diamonds as big as the Ritz on down.

But then, you can always go for it. Isabelle’s Fine Jewelry carries a selection of knock-her-off-her feet pendants, earrings, and watches. Get more ideas at Lux Life
