ON THE HOME FRONT: What’s On and Off the Residential Market

Houses in our neck of the woods sell all year long, but this time of year, new listings are cropping up by the dozens.

Houses in our neck of the woods sell all year long, but this time of year, new listings are cropping up by the dozens. In the last month, 39 homes have come on the market in the 10580 Zip code. They range in price from $400,000 for a cottage near the Rye train station to $7,500,000 for a Contemporary with a pool and tennis court in Harrison. And there are many to choose from in between.

 

Of the 122 active listings in the last six months, 55 have sold, 18 are in conditional contract, and sales are pending on 43. Buyers are out there and ready to make offers.

 

Among the new listings are:

 

A 5-bedroom, 4-bath Mediterranean with views of the Westchester Country Club golf course is listed at $1,995,000. The 4,417 square foot home was built in 1969.

 

A 5-bedroom, 5.1-bath Colonial on the Westchester Country Club grounds with a three-car garage, pool, spa, and cabana is on the market for $3,350,000. The 5,307 square-foot home was built in 1986.

 

A 3-bedroom, 1-bath Ranch in the Glen Oaks neighborhood is within walking distance of Rye Golf, the Harrison train station, and Osborn School. Built in 1952, it is listed at $779,000.

 

A 3-bedroom, 2-bath Cape Colonial within walking distance of Milton School, the Marina, and Rye Town Park is on the market for $790,000.

 

A 3-bedroom, 2.1-bath Colonial built in 1914 is listed at $839,000. This old charmer has a rocking chair front porch and a short walk from Playland.

 

A 4-bedroom, 1.1-bath Tudor built in 1924 is on the market for $899,000. It’s close to Rye Town Park and in move-in condition.

 

A 3-bedroom, 1-bath Colonial near the Knapp House is listed at $899,000. Built in 1922, it boasts a stone fireplace and a renovated kitchen.

 

A 3-bedroom, 2-bath Cape Cod built in 1939 is on the market for $910,000. It’s located close to the beach and park.

 

A 5-bedroom, 5.1-bath center hall Colonial on a half-acre in Greenhaven is listed at $2,095,000. The house was built in 2008 and has a heated pool.

 

A 5-bedroom, 3.2-bath Colonial with views of the Rye Golf course is on the market for $2,795,000. The five-year-old house is 5,147 square feet.

 

A 4-bedroom, 4.1-bath Tuscan Villa overlooking the Mill Pond is listed for $4,990,000. Built in 1910, it has been graciously restored.
