1/27 Hit-and-run. Cedar Street complainant stated unknown party hit her car, 7:47 a.m.

 

1/27 Clipped. Landscapers were blowing leaves near Wappanocca Avenue for Purchase Street nail salon. Establishment advised, will contact crew to correct situation.

 

1/27 Caller stated she ran over a rock, damaged her vehicle, Grace Church Street/Kirby Lane.

 

1/27 Caller stated he hit pedestrian with his vehicle, Ridge/High streets, 4:35 p.m. Pedestrian up and walking, but may have been injured. Officers dispatched.

 

1/27 Selective enforcement, I-95/Midland Avenue, 5-6 p.m. Four summonses issued for unregistered vehicle, faulty equipment, other violations.

 

1/27 Prime time. Windcrest Road resident stated vehicle was parked in her driveway and was not someone she knew. Officers discovered vehicle was delivering Amazon packages.

 

1/27 Too much red meat? Walk-in reported that she fired employee of Purchase Street healthy food shop. Employee damaged property upon exiting the store and was sending threatening messages.

 

1/26 Walk-in reported delivery of items to Cowles Avenue home that had not been ordered.

 

1/26 Locust Avenue caller stated FedEx truck drove onto her front yard/lawn causing damage.

 

1/26 Female caller stated she’d locked her small child still in restraining seat inside her Subaru Forester parked at Elm Place/Purchase Street and could not get inside. RFD opened vehicle with lockout kit.

 

1/26 Walk-in complainant wished to document identity theft.

 

1/25 Illegally parked vehicles: High Street, Wappanocca Avenue, Highland Road, Central/Locust avenues, 3-4 a.m., snow ordinance violation. Summonses issued.

 

1/25 John Jay Place caller stated black male wearing brown outfit rang bell, stated he was from Con Ed and wanted to do an inspection. Caller said it seemed out of the ordinary and man did not seem like a Con Ed worker. Upon arrival, officers identified party as inspector from Con Ed contractor.

 

1/25 CVS store worker reported three suspicious parties walking around inside store. Requested officer, who spoke to manager. Surveillance footage contained no evidence of criminal activity.

 

1/25 Not so Prime. Amazon delivery truck driver stated his truck was stuck in Soundview Avenue ditch, 5:13 p.m. Towing company on scene, another Amazon truck on its way.

 

1/24 Caller stated she backed into parked vehicle, Greenhaven Road, 10:34 a.m. Parties wished to settle privately.

 

1/24 Ring Ding. Caller stated her Ring camera showed man was on her Keane Court front porch wearing green safety vest, baseball cap, sunglasses. Canvassed area. No suspicious parties.

 

1/24 Multiple callers reported group of eight youths riding bikes in/out of traffic on Purchase Street by Elizabeth Street.

 

1/23 Scofflaw reported, Car Park 3. Towed by Vincent’s.

 

1/23 Caller reported two-car MVA with no injuries, Rye Presbyterian parking lot by nursery school.

 

1/23 Orchard Avenue caller stated white Jeep was blocking driveway. Summons issued.

 

1/23 Evergreen Avenue resident reported two black males wearing construction vests stated they were from Con Edison but did not produce identification or have Con Ed work vehicle, 5:03 p.m. Upon arrival, officers identified Con Ed contractors with valid credentials.

 

1/23 Mind the gap. Assisted Metro-North police. Commuter on northbound side of Rye Station was locked in in elevator maintenance room with green door. RFD opened door. Individual safe.

 

1/22 Caller reported vehicles parked at Osborn Road/Woods Lane for extended period of time. Summonses issued.

 

1/22 Extraction. Purchase Street dental office reported having unwanted patron.

 

1/22 Talk about your $#!%’$ Creek. Kirby Lane resident called to report a truck was stuck on her front lawn. Hino “Call a Head” truck attempted to use private driveway to access Manursing Way from Kirby Lane. Private drive was chained off, driver attempted to drive around chains, drove into creek, became stuck. Vincent’s tow was on scene.

 

1/22 At 11:43 a.m., caller reported gray Honda had been parked in front of her Hill Street residence since 9 a.m. with occupant inside. Was Con Ed Supervisor in personal car.

 

1/22 Caller stated there were unshoveled sidewalks on eastbound side of Locust Avenue by Graham Court. Warning issued.

 

1/21 Suspicious white van parked with someone inside, Overlook Place, 12:16 a.m. Known party was picking up recycling.

 

1/20 Cock-a-Diesel-doo. Midland Avenue caller stated neighbor ran his Ford diesel truck every morning at around 5:15 a.m. Officers found nothing modified on diesel truck. Hard to warm up in winter, louder in cold weather.

 

1/19 Bird call. Complainant reported hunters who were too close to her yard. Hunters were not in violation of any laws. Both parties set up 500-foot distance from Bird Lane dwelling, below the mean high tide mark.

 

1/18 Caller stated she saw and questioned unknown party who was sitting in vehicle that belonged to neighbor. Party soon left vehicle, walked toward Purchase Street from BPR. Negative results from canvas of area. Extra patrol set for next hour.

 

1/17 Caller stated dog chased her as she was walking down Overdale Place. Spoke to owner who said dog was restricted to yard by wireless dog fence. Owner advised to monitor dog, make sure it stays on property when outside.

 

1/16 Like a good neighbor. Citizen came to HQ to drop off wallet found at Station Plaza. Returned to owner.
