10/15 Bike rule? Bikes Rule! Pedestrian nearly run over by bicycle speeding through crosswalk while ignoring “dismount” rule, Elm Place/Purchase Plaza. Rider wore earplugs and ignored pedestrian as he yelled, “Get off your bike.” Sped along his potentially hazardous way, completely unimpeded.

 

10/14 Caller reported noise from Dogwood Lane gathering, 11:51 p.m. Spoke to homeowner who complied, shut off music, 12:29 a.m.

 

10/14 Thin air. Martin Road complainant stated someone entered her car while it was parked in her driveway ten minutes hence, 11:01 p.m. She did not see anyone, but her car lights were on, door ajar. Canvassed immediate area, surrounding areas multiple times with negative results.

 

10/14 “Hang it up, see what tomorrow brings…” Truck, 18-wheeler, could not make bridge clearance, BPR/Playland Parkway. Backed up, sent off exit.

 

10/14 DYK: a snow blower on wheels used to move leaves is still a snow blower? Neither did we. Leaf blowers reported, Sand Street/Milton Road. Was tree service, no leaf blowers in operation.

 

10/14 Surprised there was room. Party reported dropping their keys in garbage bin, corner of Purdy/First avenues. DPW responding.

 

10/14 Midland Avenue property owner requested RPD to contact owner of NY-plate vehicle parked on their property. Vehicle search came back to Midland Avenue resident. Moved by owner.

 

10/14 No record of warning, summons. Caller reported landscaper using leaf blowers, Fenton Street/Haven Avenue.

 

10/14 Caller reported car going wrong way on Lake Road damaged her landscaper’s truck. Information exchanged.

 

10/14 Injured deer, US-1, between Barlow Lane/Jay Estate. Animal dispatched.

 

10/14 Davis Avenue complainant stated his car was stolen overnight, 6:06 a.m.

 

10/13 Just feeling tired. Party stated someone stole his bicycle’s front tire from train station. Had rest of bike locked. Did not want to pursue issue, 9:39 p.m.

 

10/13 “It is High, but it is not far…” No social distancing at High Street location.

 

10/13 Mr. Pinocchio? Caller reported multiple leaf blowers, Hix Avenue.

 

10/13 Abandoned vehicle complaint, Cedar Place. Vehicle parked on paved piece of private property.

 

10/13 En-deering tale. Car 11 struck deer near BPR/Parsons Street, 7 a.m. No damage to car, deer able to get up and rejoin family.

 

10/13 Probably you-know-whats. Caller stated she heard what sounded like buzz saws in woods between her property and Rye Neck High School, Bixby Court/Hannan Place, 1:31 a.m. Canvassed area, unfounded.

 

10/12 Theodore Fremd Avenue caller stated neighbor came to his door accusing him of making too much noise, wanted to report incident.

 

10/12 A little early for footsteps on the roof. Caller reported youths on roof of his building, Purdy Avenue/First Street, 3:45 p.m. Youth detective notified.

10/12 Barberry Lane caller stated she heard abnormal noise in her house and dog was barking. She felt unsafe, no one should have been at residence besides her. Checked, cleared interior, spoke to party.

 

10/11 Complainant stated group of people were trespassing near Resurrection Middle School, 8:28 p.m. Youths playing basketball, advised courts were on church private property.

 

10/11 Rockets’ red glare. Caller stated group of kids was setting off fireworks in basketball court area of Rye Rec. GOA.

 

10/11 Caller stated youths were on beach which was private property, Brevoort Lane/Shore Road, 3:44 p.m. Unfounded. Spoke to board member, friend, they stated it had only been them, launching their kayaks.

 

10/11 Park Avenue caller stated sometime overnight unknown persons had done damage to front wall, tree, 9:35 a.m.

 

10/11 Assist WCPD. Caller reported fight between two males on Playland Pier. One of combatants pulled knife.

 

10/10 Complainant reported loud party with young people on Dearborn Avenue, across from Jean Street, 10:37 p.m. Was adult party, music was turned down.

 

10/10 Synchronicity. Caller stated there was loud party, High Street/Maple Avenue, 10:36 p.m. Music was turned down.

 

10/10 Caller stated she observed large group of youths set off fireworks at end of Soundview Avenue in area of golf course, 9:36 p.m. Youths scattered.

 

10/10 Henny Penny Society? Caller reported that people were trespassing on Hen Island.

 

10/10 Why not? Landscaper out before 10 a.m., Chamberlain Street/Mildred Avenue, 9:14 a.m. New company, did not know about ordinance.

 

10/9 Rhymes with wreck. Caller stated she observed group of youths dangerously skateboarding off 10-foot tall shed, Rye Rec.

 

10/9 What is the point of “dismount” rule if it’s seldom, if  <ever> obeyed/enforced? Group of kids riding bicycles in restaurant area, doing wheelies, Purchase Street Plaza. GOA.

 

10/9 Promote him. City Code violation, leaf blowers, Grace Church Street. Officer issued summons. Also, same officer, leaf blower summons issued, Fenton/Sand Street.

 

10/9 Party wished to document her dog getting attacked by another dog, Brevoort Lane/Greenhaven Road.

 

10/8 Caller reported her daughter was involved in MVA and other vehicle involved left scene, Forest Avenue/Grace Church Street. No reported injuries.

 

10/8 Caller stated there were white car and black car operators involved in verbal dispute after having raced down street, Midland/Peck avenues.

 

10/8 Heavy set Black male reported going door-to-door soliciting money for Black Lives Matter, Grace Church Street/Kirby Lane. No permit on file. Party was advised of City Code, leaving area until he has proper permit.
