3/31 Walnut Street apartment super reported possible gas leak in basement. Assisted RFD. Negative readings.

 

3/31 City Code violation. Complainant reported multiple leaf blowers in use, Grace Church Street, 8:40 a.m.

 

3/31 Caller reported yelling from car parked in front of UPS store, Purchase Street, 5:27 a.m. Just youths listening to music. No crime committed.

 

3/30 What goes around, comes around. Midland Avenue caller stated his neighbor was making so much noise his children couldn’t sleep, 11 p.m. Ongoing situation. Spoke to party, asked him to keep noise level down.

 

3/30 Truck driver reported his GPS directed him to Playland Parkway, but his truck could not make low overpass. Needed help backing up.

 

3/30 Group reported on Rye High track, 1 p.m. Parties dispersed.

 

3/30 Large male reported creating disturbance, cursing, waving arms around inside Patisserie Salzburg, 10:03 a.m. No crime, party sent on his way.

 

3/30 Caller stated husband passed out while walking upstairs, no signs of COVID-19. Advised to stay away. EMS paramedic on scene.

3/29 Midland Avenue caller reported occupied, dark 4WD vehicle parked across from her residence for more than hour.

 

3/28 Leaf blower violation, Forest Avenue, 9:12 a.m. Spoke with complainant, foreman, situation corrected.

 

3/27 Caller reported two people near pier at end of Dearborn Avenue with open fire, 10:09 p.m. Condition corrected.

 

3/27 Bulkley Manor complainant reported car was parked in front of her home, running for over ten minutes. Could not describe car, or 2-3 males who walked away from it due to darkness. GOA.

 

3/27 What planet? Caller reported group of youths walking into Rye Rec from Midland Avenue in area near tennis courts. She was concerned they were not keeping their social distance. Cleared basketball court, skateboard park, 7:19 p.m.

 

3/27 Midland Avenue caller reported kids smoking pot in rear garage, 1:09 p.m. Officer spoke to parties. No offense at location.

 

3/27 Male with chest pains reported. Party did not have shortness of breath, had not traveled recently.

 

3/26 Party wanted to file report regarding fraud against his Citibank account.

 

3/26 Caller reported black 4-door sedan being driven at high rate of speed down Forest Avenue in direction of Grace Church Street, 4:39 p.m.

 

3/26 Three leaf blowers in use, Forest Avenue. Condition corrected.

 

3/25 Caller reported party walking around in driveways with flashlight, Marlene Court/Sharon Lane, 9:53 p.m. Was collecting bottles for recycling. Advised he was not to enter private property to obtain bottles, only curbside.

 

3/25 Meadow Place complainant stated dog was outside barking for some time, 9:52 p.m. Upon arrival, dog was brought inside by owner.

 

3/25 Florence Avenue caller reported his vehicle was stolen by group of youths in several vehicles, 4:23 a.m.

 

3/25 Rules of the Road, suspended license, 1:30 a.m., Locust Avenue/Mead Place. Vehicle towed by Hannigan’s.

 

3/24 Small dog running around roadway by The Gables, Midland Avenue. Pet returned home.

 

3/24 Get back to your nests. Kids congregating in large groups, Edith Read Sanctuary, 6:40 p.m. Dispersed.

 

3/24 Groups playing basketball, Rye Recreation/Midland School 5:23 p.m. Groups dispersed on tennis/basketball courts. Hoops had to be removed from backboards.

 

3/24 Six-foot white male wearing trench coat, hospital bands on wrist, acting erratic, digging into garbage, talking to himself, BPR/Central Avenue. Report on file, sent on his way.

 

3/24 Larceny. Greenhaven Road caller stated some of her mail was forwarded to Georgia with checks inside cashed by someone in that state.

 

3/23 Caller reported that while walking in Glen Oaks neighborhood, he observed black Dodge pickup with Conn. tags. Occupant was taking pictures of properties, driving around area. GOA.

 

3/22 Complainant observed Audi in Central Avenue parking lot with lights on for three hours, 11:08 p.m. Party checked out, was talking on cell phone.

 

3/22 Dark colored SUV reported driving around Greenhaven/Rye roads, strong smell of marijuana emanating from vehicle. Canvassed Greenhaven, negative results.

 

3/22 Female 911 caller reported fire at Oakland Beach Avenue location, 1:03 p.m.

 

3/21 City Code violation, burning of yard materials, John Jay Place/Peter Jay Lane, 5:51 p.m. Resident advised to stop burning.

 

3/21 Male reported operating black Audi Q5, harassing people, possibly under influence according to complainant, Greenhaven Beach, 5:11 p.m. Observed vehicle parked, unoccupied at registered residence.

 

3/21 Caller reported painful breathing, fever, EMS dispatched.

 

3/20 All people inside Rye Rec Skate Park informed that the City park was closed, asked to leave, 5:40 p.m.

 

3/20 Caller reported party known to her was attempting to drive a car while under the influence of alcohol, 11:02 p.m.

 

3/20 Rules of the Road. No tail lamp, no turn on red violation, New/Purchase streets. Summons issued. Vehicle towed.

 

3/18 Registered male. Complainant stated there was person sleeping on counter in the Post Office lobby. Officers spoke to party who said he was going to head home.

 

3/18 Caller stated five males were fishing, attempting to steal his coyote cut-outs from his Waters Edge yard, 5:04 p.m. Males were children who lived at Waters Edge. Stated they were not trying to take statues. Went on their way.

 

3/18 No sense of Humor. City Code violation. Ice cream truck was going around Forest/Oakwood avenues neighborhood. Advised to stop selling.

 

3/18 Multiple leaf blowers in use, Loewen Court/Central Avenue. Summons issued.
