9/10: Female caller reported unknown woman was knocking at her Glen Oaks Drive front door. Claimed party tried to gain entry. No detailed description, but complainant stated party was wearing white. No criminal activity; was area resident whom officer helped to her own home.

 

9/9: Walk-in stated her purse was stolen out of her car parked on Ridge Street.

 

9/9: Multiple callers reported accident in front of UPS store, Purchase Street.

 

9/9: Caller stated young, white male with blonde hair on bicycle nearly struck her while she was in Purchase Street crosswalk, then proceeded to harass her while she was in Starbucks, 4:55 p.m. Complainant wished to file a sworn statement and had picture of said youth.

 

9/9: Rye Brook PD reported receiving phone call regarding someone trying to forcibly put female in car at Station Plaza, 5:05 p.m. Canvassed area with negative results.

 

9/8: Disorderly conduct. Caller reported male customer at Rye Grill & Bar itching for a fight, 1:36 a.m. Spoke with staff, no charges filed. Found party in car park, had to detain him to calm him down; after which he told his side. All parties agreed to go home for the night.

 

9/8: Deep rough. Walk-in filed report regarding cash stolen from locker at Apawamis Club.

 

9/8: “But, I’ve got a 16-handicap card!” Caller reported vehicles parked in Rye Golf Club handicap spaces without permit. Summonses issued.

 

9/8: Caller reported illegally parked vehicles, Redfield Street, 5:57 p.m. Summons issued.

 

9/8: Nailed. Party reported her High Street neighbor was banging a hammer in his garage, 8:13 a.m. Advised homeowner of City Code.

 

 

9/7: Curb repeal. Caller stated she was owner of Palisade Road property who returned home to find a “For Sale” sign on her property with a real estate agent’s name on it who was unknown to her. She stated that neighbors told her unknown party had been showing her home to buyers all day. Caller confirmed she was not selling her property. Advised to call broker. Sign taken down and on ground for now.

 

9/7: Odorous behavior. Teens reported begging for money door-to-door, Bradford Avenue, 10:18 p.m. Caller stated they smelled of marijuana. Identification info taken. Told to head home.

 

9/6: Eighteen Rules of the Road summonses/warnings issued, 12-3 p.m. All over town.

 

9/6: Sturdy rod, steel line? Boat Basin supervisor requested help with a dock that sank, 5:48 p.m.

 

9/6: Rye Town Park caller reported lifeguard chairs, boats were flooded with water, concerned they would float away, 6:30 p.m.

 

9/5: Vehicle parked on wrong side of Central Avenue. Summons issued.

 

9/4: Rye Road caller reported hearing loud noise on first floor of her house, 4:10 a.m. Possible prowler. Checked premise, all secure.

 

9/4: Wheely bad idea. Complainant stated construction workers were driving, parking in wrong direction on one-way Old Post Road. Summonses issued.

 

9/4: Marriott reported injured bird in north side parking lot. Hotel advised of service to use for removal.

 

9/3: Suspicious person. Forest Avenue reported bearded Hispanic male in jeans and hat at her door trying to recover property fraudulently mailed to her. Canvassed area, unfounded.

 

9/3: Larceny. Caller reported packages stolen from front porch. Said a suspicious black Honda with sticker across windshield and two black male occupants was in Centre Street area prior to incident.

 

9/3: Halstead Place caller reported lost female black Terrier mix with pointy ears.

 

9/3: Rotten to the core. Caller stated she was contacted by phone by person claiming to be with Apple computers. Stated person scammed her into giving out bank account information. After discovering fraudulent activity on her account, victim changed password. No money taken. Advised to file a Sworn Statement for record.

 

9/2: Caller reported RV parked at Nursery Field with generator running, wanted it checked out. RV owner had relative who lived on Milton Road, was leaving vehicle overnight. Generator did not appear to be disturbing neighborhood and would be shut off soon.

 

9/2: Sounds right, or is it left? Marine Unit reported replacing defective starboard wiper motor with port wiper motor.

 

9/1: Illegally parked vehicle, High Street. Suspended registration, no insurance in effect. Towed by Hannigan’s.

 

9/1: Walk-in notified desk of sailboat run aground in area of Milton Harbor House/Rye Golf course.

 

9/1: Caller reported disruptive male on southbound Metro-North platform. Party interviewed; ID taken.

 

9/1: Responded to walk-in report of vessel striking another vessel while docking at City Marina.

 

9/1: Officer reported attempt to conduct stop when two parties ran from vehicle at Station Plaza, 1:27 a.m. Transported one male to HQ. Canvassed immediate area for driver with negative results. Vehicle towed.
