Police Blotter 10-26-18

10/22: Basset case. Female with baby near Colby Avenue requested assistance. Stated her 1 ½ -year-old brown and white Basset Hound had just run away towards DPW. Negative results on canvass for dog, then unable to reach complainant.

10/22: Caller reported suspicious person in white van, NY plates, near Marine Building, Milton Road. Party identified, working on Hen Island and boats. Nothing to report at this time.

10/21: Wake up call. Vessel boarding, speeding in Milton Harbor. Warning issued.

10/21: Larceny. Bicycle stolen from RHS bike rack.

10/21: Fallen tree blocking Theodore Fremd Avenue by Con Ed yard. Traffic blocked in both directions.

10/20: Silver Hyundai was blocking Rye Beach Avenue driveway. Summons issued.

10/20: Complainant wanted to make department aware of verbal argument she had with Theodore Fremd Avenue neighbor over children playing in parking lot.

10/20: Perfect ten. Early construction reported, Parkway Drive, 8:37 a.m. Parties on scene were not doing construction, laborers sitting in van upon officer’s arrival waiting until legal start time, 10 a.m.

10/20: Caller reported possibly intoxicated person lying on floor of Purchase Street shop. Transported to Greenwich Hospital.

10/20: Caller heard gunshots, Adelaide Street/Forest Avenue. Checked area, negative results, all appears normal.

10/19: Unregistered vehicle with multiple summonses impounded. Depot Plaza.

10/19: Jetty-soned. Male party found on Playland jetty fishing. Officer advised that he was not permitted there, needed to leave. He complied without incident.

10/19: White van with two black males in it, Milton Road/Oakland Beach Avenue. “Looked suspicious”. GOA.

10/19: Charge account. Walk-in reported credit cards taken from vehicle.

10/18: Suspicious white male reported in area of Midland School. Did not appear to be with chidren. Tall, brown hair, gray sweats with Cape Cod written on it. Canvassed area, unfounded.

10/18: C’mon, people. Suspicious vehicle reported parked in front of Morehead Drive home. Con Ed emergency van.

10/18: Buoys will be buoys! Removed unauthorized lights from five buoys, could have created hazard for boaters.

10/17: Prowler reported. Drake Smith Lane caller heard someone at his front door, 3:39 a.m. Checked area, negative results.

10/17: Highland Hall resident wanted to report identity theft.

10/17: Pigeon dropping. Caller reported injured pigeon, Dearborn Avenue. Local rehabilitator agreed to take bird if dropped off at her home.

10/16: Caller reported unknown brown Lab attacking her dog, Forest Avenue. Spoke to both involved parties. No report needed.

10/16: Grace Church Street complainant stated unknown party pulled vehicle halfway into his driveway, then began walking into wooded area of his property. Party identified.

10/16: Commercial vehicle with Massachusetts tags was dumping asphalt on Marriott property. City Code violation, summons issued.

10/16: Reckless driving reported. Two young looking white males in blue BMW driving on wrong side of road, Coolidge Avenue/Osborn Road. Unable to locate.

10/15: Construction before 7:30 a.m. reported, Palisade Road. Warning issued. Site supervisor advised of appropriate start time.

10/13: Cue tail wag. Chocolate Lab found walking down Forest Avenue, no collar. Contact eventually made with owner who came to HQ to pick up “Koda”.

10/13: While on patrol, observed that unknown persons had attached LED lights to Milton Habor navigation buoys. Removed.

10/13: Caller stated she heard what she thought were gunshots coming from Marshlands. Marshlands were clear, no noises, no one in area.

10/13: Underage kids reported drinking alcohol, being loud behind Resurrection School playground. No alcohol at location. Was small group of kids hanging out. Left scene.

10/12: Noise complaint. Man screaming in front of Playland Market.

10/12: Caller stated individual wearing dark clothing, acting suspicious near Beverly/Parkway drives. Further stated they hid from her while she was walking her dog. Checked area, negative results.

10/11: Caller reported suspicious person going through garbage, Barbara /Loewen courts. Party was known to department. All in order.

10/11: AYC stated they received call about a loose boat.

10/11: Caller reported branch blocking southbound lane of US-1, may have been near Barlow Lane. Branch moved off road.

10/10: Pole #29, at Rye Rec, seemed to be splitting from old age. Con Edison on scene, advised that Verizon be contacted.

10/10: Large log was causing hazard in Milton Harbor. Towed to City Marina.
