Police Blotter 11-9-18

11/1: Fine-ders, keepers. Car Park No. 2 scofflaw vehicle, $1,100 of unpaid fines. Towed by Vincent’s.

11/4: Truck stuck under Locust Avenue bridge, RFD requested for minor hazmat spill.

11/4: Fine and dandy. Caller stated there was screaming, cursing coming from house behing her Theodore Fremd property. She had made complaints about it in past. Upon arrival, officer did not hear noise, but spoke to party living at location who stated everything was fine and she was not causing any noise.

11/4: Caller stated she was having problem with her Purchase Street nail salon employer, needed police. Both parties settled between themselves. Employee paid on scene while in officer’s presence.

11/4: While checking fishermen at Edith Read Waterways, mother and child asked for band-aid. Child received small righthand cut from seashell. No other treatment needed.

11/3: Caller reported vehicle went off road and into woods near Old Post Road home. Motorist transported to Greenwich Hospital.

11/3: Walk-in complainant stated contractor cashed check for supplies, never completed work at Grace Church Street site.

11/3: Pedestrian struck by vehicle, Dogwood Lane/Highland Road. Assist Harrison PD.

11/3: Knock, knock, knockin. Wappanocca Avenue complainant stated group of middle school kids were knocking on her door, running away over and over again. Lieutenant spoke to group, told them to stop.

11/2: Got you covered. Caller stated manhole was missing, may be safety issue, Central/Theodore Fremd avenues. Canvassed area, all covers in place, appeared properly secure.

11/2: Sick or injured raccoon on left side of road by white fence, Milton/Old Milton roads. Animal dispatched.

11/2: Sign of the times. Walk-in complained of political signs posted on City property. Signs removed from various locations.

11/2: Last Pile. Caller stated he was with NYS Thruway Department, asked officer to respond for a person illegally dumping construction debris, I-95/Midland Avenue. State Police en route.

11/1: Employee at Theodore Fremd Avenue business, terminated on prior day, returned in morning, made threatening remarks to other employees. They wished to document incident.

11/1: Vessel boarding, Scotch Caps. Warning issued for not wearing life jacket.

10/31: Flying Saucers? Caller reported “strange” vehicles in Citibank lot watching bank. Con Ed employees awaiting start at job site.

10/31: 69 Theodore Fremd caller reported catching employee stealing. Wished to make report.

10/31: Two males in hoodies reported swinging gun in their hands, walking on Parsons Street towards churches from RHS Science wing.

10/31: Over easy. Bradford Avenue house hit by eggs. No damage. Individuals went over bridge to Harrison. Units continued canvas of area throughout night.

10/30: Town of Greenwich Constable attempted to collect property by court order on behalf of owner. Party was not on Milton Point premise.

10/30: Caller reported pedestrian struck by motor vehicle, BPR. Female victim transported to Greenwich Hospital.

10/30: Heavy load. Sound Road caller reported noise coming from second floor of her house. Garage door was left open when she dropped child at school. Was washing machine making banging noise.

10/30: Suspicious vehicle. White van occupied by two males, Highland road/Wappanocca Avenue. Checked out, waiting for mechanic friend.

10/30: Suspicious person. Unknown male reported in Helen Avenue driveway, 9:28 p.m. Party was a neighbor.

10/29: Deer stuck in Peter Jay Lane iron fence. Officer disposed of animal. Homeowner given contacts for removal of deceased deer from her property.

10/29: Dog off leash on RTP beach. Warning issued. Spoke with complainant and K-9 owner to advise him of rules.

10/29: Gramercy Park. Walk-in complained of illegally parked vehicles, Forest/Gramercy avenues. Summons issued to one vehicle that had not moved.

10/29: Male reported acting in erratic manner in Ruby’s Oyster Bar, 8:15 p.m.

10/28: Porgy and Bass? Officer removed two people fishing on Playland Pier, closed due to storm damage, 1:37 p.m. Gates closed, locked. Subjects had to climb around gate to exit.

10/27: Tree split down middle, fell on Con Ed power lines located on Overlook Place private property. Not obstructing roadway. Homeowner stated smoke in his basement as a result. RFD, Con Ed notified.

10/26: Monitored trial at BPR/Hillside Avenue intersection, no left turn. Three violations observed, no stops due to trial period. 10:36 a.m.

10/26: Having a facial. Parking issues with construction vehicles, Gramercy Avenue. Construction worker “got in citizen’s face.” Spoke with parties involved. Condition corrected.

10/26: Caller reported she hit a deer on Milton Road near Resurrection School. Deer injured but ran off. No damage to vehicle, 6:15 p.m.

10/25: Suspicious person reported, Old Post Road. Black male wearing red-white-blue jacket went up to homeowner’s front door, spoke with homeowner, said something about an iPad. Party closed door, contacted police, 6:50 p.m. Visitor appeared to have been trying to sell something or have owner sign for something on iPad. Party left without further incident.
