Police Blotter 12-14-12

11/27: Eve Lane resident stated animal, possibly squirrel, stuck in basement. Confirmed. Party advised to call trapper.

 

11/27: Roto Rooter truck struck fence post at Redfield Street residence. Post broken at bottom and section of fence damaged. Parties will settle.

 

11/27: Low battery. Suspicious person in gray SUV reported at Station Plaza near Avon, possibly sleeping in vehicle. Party was power authority worker.

 

11/28: Caller reported dog-at-large, Milton Road/Oakland Beach Avenue, appeared to be Husky. Unable to locate dog.

 

11/28: Dog at large, BPR/Purchase Street, collie mix. GOA. Probably looking for Mr. Husky.

 

11/28: Don’t even think about asking. Caller reported that her boss did not want to pay for her services. Complainant given direction to Rye City Court to file small claims civil action.

 

11/29: Theodore Fremd Avenue Gulf Station reported two suspicious persons in parking area of garage. Two parties from Mount Vernon.

 

11/29: Apawamis Club reported tree fell on employee.

 

11/29: Moving violation, Playland Parkway/Milton Road. Arrest for 2nd Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation.

 

11/29: Rye City Court, party stated that someone stole his identity.

 

11/30: Westbank Road caller reported multiple leaf blowers operating. Upon arrival, only one blower operating. Party warned.

 

11/30: Walk-in reported former babysitter contacting family in inappropriate manner. Filed for Aggravated Harassment.

 

11/30: Now they’re skate-bored-ers. Report of skateboarders on Rye Rec ramps at closing. Twelve youths removed from Skateboard Park.

 

12/1: Construction prior to 10 a.m. Purchase Street/Blind Brook Lane. Workers unaware of city code violation, warning issued.

 

12/1: Construction prior to 10 a.m. George Langeloh Court.

 

12/1: Caller reported possible underage drinking party, Osborn Road. Condition corrected.

 

12/1: Chased! Suspicious males reported parked in handicap space by Chase Bank. Vehicle moved, waiting for take-out order from Water Moon.

 

12/1: Caller reported suspicious vehicle occupied by one person, two others outside checking other vehicles, Lot #4 School Street.

 

12/2: No duck luck. Brevoort Lane caller reported duck hunters on island in “middle of sound” close to his land. Upon arrival, officer unable to get to parties on island, no shooting heard.

 

12/3: Just recording Rocky & Bullwinkle. Thorne Place caller reported squirrel in living room.

 

12/3: Newberry Place caller reported stolen credit cards.

 

12/3: Johnson Place caller reported finding animal bones in bucket at rear of his property. Appeared to be coyote or dog bones. Disposed.

 

12/3: Abandoned vehicle, expired inspection parked at Milton Road/Rectory Street. Towed.

 

12/4: Report of stolen credit card, Resurrection Church, 1:11 p.m.

 

12/4: Three additional reports of stolen credit cards, Resurrection Church, 2:30-4:30 p.m.

 

12/4: Report of vehicle driven erratically, Rye Beach Avenue/Overlook Place. Witness stated vehicle driving across yellow line, speeding hazardously. Party had no license, only student visa.

 

12/5: Euro Brash. Fiat impounded, Purdy Avenue/First Street. Scofflaw violation.

 

12/5: Lock & Low. Walk-in reported wallet stolen from YMCA locker. Complainant stated someone opened locker, stole property, replaced cut lock with new one.

 

12/5: Complainant stated bicycle stolen from eastbound side of train station.

 

12/6: Walnut Street resident reported suspicious person walking into two units where she lives. Area canvassed, negative results.

 

12/6: APB, hole. Large hole reported on North Street near Theodore Fremd Avenue. Area canvassed with negative results.

 

12/7: Deer with broken legs on side of road, Forest Avenue/Manursing Way. Dispatched, use of firearm form completed.

 

12/7: Big misteak. Hit and run motor vehicle accident, rear of Frankie & Johnnie’s. Damaged vehicle towed.

 

12/8: Personal property stolen from vehicle, Adelaide Street.

 

12/8: Soy long, Copper! Purdy Avenue caller reported group of kids bothering him at Chinese restaurant. Car 11 reported parties leaving area, seen in glass walkway above train tracks, GOA at other side of tracks.

 

12/9: Caller reported car accident, US 1 southbound near Rye Golf Club, possible wires down, unknown injuries.

 

12/9: Caller reported she may have left wallet on northbound side of train station.

 

12/10: Big Mack Attack. 2005 Mack truck reportedly struck and damaged utility pole on Milton Road near Boat Basin.

 

12/10: Report of stolen jewelry, Colby Avenue.

 

12/10: “I’m so tired, Uncle Albert.” North Street caller reported delivery of four tires to her house by mistake.
