12/2 Vroooom. Report of 30 m.p.h. speed limit sign and wire down in roadway, Apawamis/Midland avenues. DPW cleared the scene.

12/2 Caller reported damage to vehicle while in CVS.

12/2 New sheriff in town. City Code violation, leaf blowers causing traffic condition, Locust Avenue/Mead Place. Citation issued!

12/2 Complainant reported leaf blower violation, Oakwood Avenue, 3:59 p.m. Single machines being used on two different properties. No violations.

12/2 Caller stated leaf blower, lawnmower in use at same time, Oakwood Avenue, 2:52 p.m. Unfounded, 2:55 p.m.

12/2 Two leaf blowers, one push-blower in use, Grace Church Street, 2:21 p.m. Penalty not noted.

12/1 Caller stated person was skateboarding on Rye Rec basketball court, disturbing his peace. Parties advised.

12/1 Walk-in complainant stated someone fraudulently charged two separate transactions at CVS to his savings account.

12/1 Caller reported leaf blowers, Douglas Court. GOA. Advised caller to contact police if landscaper started blowing leaves onto her property again.

12/1 Hacked. Taxi inspection at HQ. Failed.

12/1 Gotcha. Officer reported vehicle in arrears for parking fines in Car Park 2. Towed by Hannigan’s.

11/30 Caller stated his daughter struck telephone pole with her vehicle, no injuries.

11/30 Busted. Caller stated she saw bus pull over near BPR/Osborn Road; thought driver might have needed assistance. Vincent’s towing heavy load.

11/30 Multiple leaf blowers reported, Grace Church Street. Citation issued.

11/30 Serious crackdown. Multiple leaf blowers reported, Larkspur Lane. Citation issued.

11/30 CO2 alarm reported, Oakland Beach Avenue. Scene turned over to RFD.

11/29 Raking news! Caller reported multiple leaf blowers in use on same Oakwood Avenue property, 4:53 p.m. Three landscapers in area; two had rakes, one had leaf blower, 5 p.m. No violations.

11/29 More blowers reported: Forest Avenue; Greenleaf (!) Street; Meadow Place – three blowers on property; Central Avenue – three blowers, three landscapers, three properties, no violations.

11/29 Caller reported unusual amount of smoke coming from Loewen Court neighbor’s chimney. RFD dispatched.

11/28 Locust Avenue caller stated possible burglary occurred. Description given of blond female and male with cap, 3:49 p.m. Officers were sent to secure scene; caller said he would be on premises around 5 p.m. Exterior check completed, no signs of forced entry, unable to gain entry to building.

11/28 Trespass. Party stated unknown male attempting to gain entry to her Highlands at Rye (aka Highland Hall) apartment, 11:40 p.m.

11/27 Caller stated she had struck deer with her vehicle near FBI building, Midland Avenue.

11/27 Bus idling, Forest Avenue/Playland Parkway, 3:51 p.m. Moved, was waiting for Manhattanville hockey team.

11/27 Caller stated elderly male was sunbathing in near-freezing temperatures, Playland Park. Person identified (K. Kringle?), said he was enjoying the sunshine and cold was not bothering him. Declined further assistance.

11/27 Shampoo. Salon complainant cited Purchase Street power-washing, wind blowing water; was concerned about his clients getting wet. Crew showed City permit, said they would be more careful when pedestrians were nearby.

11/27 Quartet. Loud group reported on corner, Apawamis/Forest avenues, 2:22 a.m. Four parties were talking, waiting for ride, advised to keep it down.

11/27 Checkout time. Assisted Marriott staff with removal of loud guests who were refusing to leave, 2:06 a.m.

11/26 Practice makes perfect. Caller stated there were multiple leaf blowers in use, Forest/Oakwood avenues, 2:35 p.m. Only observed one machine in use, 2:57 p.m. Landscaper was well-informed of law, repeated City Code verbatim when asked if there was another worker using blower with him.

11/26 Mind the gap. Holly Lane caller reported multiple leaf blowers in use, 2:50 p.m. No leaf blowers observed, nor any landscape work, 3:20 p.m.

11/25 Elegant solution. Music was being played over loudspeaker, Midland Avenue. Music turned off.

11/25 Parties refused to leave The Pub, 2:53 a.m. Both parties departed, 3:30 a.m.

11/25 Caller reported crowd outside Rye Grill & Bar making lots of noise, 1:17 a.m.

11/24 Grace Church Street caller stated landscaper had blown leaves onto her property. Civil matter.

11/24 And the beat goes on. Two leaf blowers in use, Grace Church Street. Summons issued.
