Lead:

 

11/30: Extra Meatballs. Packages taken during day from Newberry Street house. Empty boxes recovered near pizzeria. Reviewed surveillance cameras, identified three male suspects, all wearing gray hoodies, faces covered.

 

RPD says ? Prevent Porch Pirates: Use alternative delivery/pickup options from USPS, UPS, FedEx; require signatures for packages; receive packages at work; install a security camera.

 

 

12/3: Glendale Road resident reported occupied blue work van in front of his house for a long time, 7:34 a.m. Was heating contractor who showed up early for appointment in neighborhood.

 

12/3: Road being blocked by construction vehicles with no flagman, Stuyvesant/Van Wagenen avenues, 10:25 a.m. Warning issued. Foreman agreed to direct traffic until flagman arrived.

 

12/3: Let?s roll. Caller reported kids making too much noise at Rye Rec skate park, 5:39 p.m. Youths advised dawn to dusk hours, asked to leave.

 

12/3: Caller reported suspicious male with dog sitting in synagogue parking lot, 10:20 p.m. Party checked out.

 

12/2: Catch a cold. Noise complaint. Seneca Street caller stated she heard someone yelling outside her home, 4:20 a.m. Another call regarding naked male running in rain, Dogwood Lane. Possibly same party.

 

12/2: Polarization strikes again. Suspicious vehicle. Party from white van climbing up utility pole, Brookdale Place/Milton Road. Cablevision worker.

 

12/2: MVA on I-287, vehicle crashed into guardrail in dangerous location. Officer assisted with traffic, setting up flares. Car 18 clipped by large truck, causing damage.

 

12/1: Tow truck on Gabelli company property, Theodore Fremd Avenue, may have damaged lawn. Was towing vehicle stuck overnight from blown transmission. Property manager said they just wanted vehicles off property.

 

12/1: Sidling up to an idling idler. Silver pickup truck running for three hours with party sleeping in it, according to complainant, Midland Avenue/Palisade Road. Officer approached party who checked out; was contractor getting rest on private property.

 

11/30: Elderly female reported her electric out. Con Ed outages in Coolidge Avenue area. Caller stated she was not in good health, needed electric. Resident assisted, condition corrected.

 

11/30: Complainant stated her boyfriend was going to jump in front of train, Station Plaza, 1:42 p.m. Two units, backup sent.

 

11/29: Hit-and-run MVA, Westchester Medical Group, Theall Road. Vehicle left scene, two damaged vehicles.

 

11/28: Curb appeal. DPW reported person going through recycling in people?s yards. Officer spoke with party, explained to him not to go into yards to get recyclables, only what was put on curb.

 

11/27: Noah thru traffic. Flooding reported, Kirby Lane. Barriers placed on both sides of Tide Mill. DPW to be notified.

 

11/27: Caller reported party going door-to-door possibly soliciting from small white sedan, 4:28 p.m., Cowles Avenue/Intervale Place. Party was in process of getting permit. Warning issued. He was done for night.

 

11/27: Rules of the Road, crossing double-yellow lines, BPR/Cedar Street. Summons issued.

 

11/27: Rules of the Road, illegally parked vehicle with suspended registration, High Street/Maple Avenue. Summons issued.

 

11/27: City Code violation. Caller reported hockey and basketball nets, pucks creating hazard on Hughes Avenue. Spoke to resident about moving sports equipment from roadway.

 

 

 

11/25: Worker at Mobil station, Theodore Fremd Avenue, wanted police presence while she was closing, 12:40 a.m. Employee stated aggressive black male came to door once location had been closed. Upon officer?s arrival, party was gone. Officer stayed while employee locked door, set alarm, and left.

 

11/24: Caller stated group of people near Forest Avenue/Sanford Street were having very loud party, disturbing his peace.

 

11/22: Dumbster. Male subject observed urinating by dumpster behind bagel shop, Second Street. Identified, released with verbal warning.

 

11/22: Bent Franklin. Walk-in reported finding apparent fake $100 bill among donations collected while soliciting in front of Starbucks.

 

11/21: Thistle Lane caller stated a possibly rabid racoon chased his dog. Upon arrival did not see racoon.
