Police Blotter 4/21: Child Locked in Car, Party at WCC Beach Club

4/15 City Code violation, early construction, Read Court, 8:21 a.m. Crew was advised of proper starting time.

4/14 Child reported locked inside vehicle by party who was with mother. Child did not appear to be in distress, BPR/Library Lane.

4/13 Hoosier daddy? Vehicle stopped for obstructed view of temporary tag. Vehicle, driver valid per Indiana Sate Police. Warning issued and released.

4/13 Crying the blues. Noise complaint. City Code violation, construction after 6:30 p.m. Workers were cutting bluestone with grinder. Advised and they stopped.

4/13 Chamberlain Street caller reported unemployment insurance fraud.

4/13 Westchester Country Club security reported unwanted party on beach club property.

4/13 Read it and weep. Noise complaint, rock chipping, 7:48 a.m., Read Court. Construction work okay at 7:30 a.m., rock chipping allowed under ordinance.

4/12 Fresh out of pajamas. Suspicious vehicle, Johnson Place/Keane Court, 1:21 a.m. Gray van was going in/out of driveways. Party stated he was delivering dry cleaning.

4/12 Front door wide open at Chamberlain Street house, 1:02 a.m. Resident came downstairs to close door after HQ called.

4/11 Caller stated stop sign at Hix/Lindbergh avenues was missing. DPW notified, responding.

4/10 Complainant reported loud music coming from Halls Lane residence. Homeowner advised to lower volume.

4/10 Black BMW Series 3 reported travelling northbound near Five Points, parties in vehicle were throwing objects at passersby. Canvassed area multiple times, negative results.

4/10 Leaf blower complaint, Fairlawn Street/Milton Road, 3:06 p.m.

4/10 Ring Wrong. Harassment. Complainant stated party known to her had purposely spit on her doorknob, action caught on Ring video.

4/10 Good permits make good neighbors. Thorne Place caller stated his neighbor was building patio and did not believe he had a permit. Homeowner said he was making repairs to existing patio and would contact Building Dept. Monday morning.

4/10 Siri-ous business. Passerby near Forest/Van Wagenen avenues found iPhone, turned it in to Desk Officer who was able to determine ownership. Handed over to owner.

4/9 We met at the Y. Caller stated there was minor MVA involving gray Nissan Rogue, peach-colored Lincoln Town Car. No injuries reported.

4/9 Hiding in plain sight. Vehicle bearing NY plates was parked on McCullough Place near HQ with suspended registration as of 11/02/20 for insurance lapse.

4/9 Assisted Port Chester PD with perimeter set up in area of Grace Church Street/Fox Island Drive prior to apprehending party with firearm. (There are an estimated 393 million civilian guns in the U.S.)

4/8 Latest attraction. WCPD reported drag racing in Playland parking lot.
