5/2: Sue Chef? Complainant stated known party stole his identity, using name and Social Security number to obtain work in restaurant. Complainant contacted Department of Labor, filed statement.

5/2: Dispatch requested back up for officer. Vehicle stopped for overtaking another vehicle on Midland Avenue by Intervale Place. Operator unlicensed, vehicle towed.

5/3: No joy ride. Complainant reported two trees on side of her Forest Avenue house damaged, apparently caused by BMW driven by two youths, according to separate unknown caller.

5/3: Officer observed CT plate 2006 Chevy in excess of speed limit. NYSPIN inquiry revealed driver’s privileges to operate vehicle suspended in NY and CT; also revealed vehicle unregistered. Operator arrested, released on cash bail. Vehicle towed.

5/4: Officer responded to larceny call. Complainant said phone stolen from YMCA locker while she was teaching a class.

5/4: Towing company reported Oregon VW dealer repossessing vehicle towed for traffic violations.

5/7: Officer responded to harassment complaint on Bradford Avenue. Advised male to stay away from residents on Clinton Avenue. Apparent suspect was disturbed under unknown influences. Requested medical assistance. Subject transported to White Plains Hospital for observation.

5/7: Bank service manager stated Highland Road resident, claiming to be daughter of elderly female bank client, attempted to make $500 withdrawal in cash. Bank placed regulators on all accounts pending investigation.

5/7: Anonymous complainant found small bag of white powder in Car Park #2. Substance tested positive as cocaine. Placed in evidence bag.

5/8: Officer dispatched on report of hit-and-run motor vehicle accident at Purchase Street and Elm Place. Canvassed area for departed vehicle with negative result.

5/8: Sackett Landing resident reported seeing large, male coyote on her property at various times of day.

5/9: Caller reported signs ripped off “Floatie Mobile” while parked in front of Square House.

5/9: The fridge did it! Playland area resident complained of noisy truck idling near homes. Officer dispatched, found delivery truck with motor off, refrigeration unit running. Advised to pull into amusement park parking lot, away from homes.

5/9: Caller collared. Officer on patrol observed operator of vehicle on First Street by Car Park #4 talking on cell phone. Warning issued.

5/9: Dogwood Lane resident complained that property was taken from her vehicle overnight.

5/9: Caller reported loss of NY State license plate. Report filed with DMV.

5/9: Grace Church Street caller reported leaf blower violation by landscaper. Officer dispatched, no violation observed.

5/9: Caller reported suspicious male hanging from fence on Midland Avenue by I-95 ramp.

5/10: Walnut Street resident complained that her clothes had been stolen.

5/10: Orchard Avenue resident complained two suspicious males wanted access to her home to see her cable bill. Officer discovered solicitors from Just Energy had inadvertently crossed into Rye from Port Chester.

5/11: Mick, Keith, bedtime! Apawamis Avenue caller reported live band playing very loud music 8:00-8:30 p.m.

5/18: Walnut Street resident complained unknown perp(s) damaged her BMW by means of a key. Damage $4,000.

5/25: Fairlawn Street/Orchard Drive resident complained construction job started at 7 a.m. in violation of 7:30 a.m. rule.

5/25: Midland Avenue resident reported vehicle parked in front of her house for three days without moving. Officer found car parked legally on street, registered to neighbor.

5/25: Rake-Up Call? Caller reported leaf blowers being operated in Midland Avenue/Goldwin Street area in violation of City Code.

 

5/26: At leashed he had some fun. Lost dog complaint. Found “Scout” at Midland School field, returned home, placed on green leash in garage.
