Police Blotter 6/23: Leaf Blower, Ice Cream Truck in School Zone & Parents chaperoned graduation party.

6/11 Poof. Caller reported leaf blowers, Heritage Lane/Martin Road, 9:50 a.m. Unfounded.

6/10 Caller reported blue/black van driving recklessly at high rate of speed, Milton Road/Playland Parkway. Area canvassed, negativity.

6/10 Semi could not get under bridge, BPR/Playland Parkway. Corrected.

6/10 Rocky Road scoop. Brevoort Lane complainant stated she believed her neighbor had placed rocks in street to prevent people from parking in front of her house. Claimed rocks were road hazard. Observed nine rocks placed in fashion that would prevent vehicles from parking on street; advised desk to have DPW remove rocks. Photos taken, emailed to Detective Division.

6/10 Rocky start. Milton School principal called regarding ice cream truck parked in pickup lane, 3:36 p.m. Made contact with Mr. Softee who apologized as it was his first time at location. He agreed to move further down Hewlett Avenue towards Forest Avenue.

6/10 Whoosh. Caller stated there were multiple leaf blowers in use, Wappanocca Avenue. GOA.

6/9 Do they pay for this? Assistance requested by WCPD with reckless driver, Playland Park, 10:52 p.m. No violations observed. County on scene.

6/9 Ann Lane caller reported deer stuck in his fence. Animal dispatched.

6/9 Figure, “Wrong Way”, “Right Way”? NYS Thruway Authority reported several tractor trailers going wrong way southbound in northbound lane at Exit 22. Requested help with getting vehicles turned around, figuring out signage.

6/9 Suez who? Beck Avenue caller stated cars were speeding to avoid traffic from Suez water main break traffic. No speeding vehicles observed.

6/9 Overly optimistic. Male solicitor reported wearing lavender shirt, black pants, selling Optimum Readers Service door-to-door, Byrd Street/Forest Avenue. Party was advised solicitation permit required.

6/9 Brevoort Lane neighbors’ dispute over parking on street. Situation resolved on scene.

6/8 Ah, maybe “Dickinson”? Assistance requested with filming “Feathers” at Rye Beach, 8:06 a.m.

6/8 Apawamis Avenue caller stated he observed vehicle driving with its lights off, Conn. tags, last seen northbound on Milton Road, 4:43 a.m. GOA.

6/8 Six pack. Mildred Avenue complainant stated six males broke into her car, then drove off in Lincoln.

6/7 Naught-o pilot. Caller reported her 2019 Honda Pilot had broken down, Midland Avenue/Playland Parkway.

6/7 Midland School called to report coyote running around the playground area, 1:07 p.m. Canvassed area, GOA.

6/6 Apawamis resident stated there was unknown vehicle in their driveway. Moved. Belonged to neighbor.

6/6 Silt will soon put stop to that. Two vessel boardings for speed in no-wake zone, Milton Harbor. Warnings issued.

6/6 Caller stated vehicle was parked in middle of Farmers’ Market. Vehicle observed in legal spot in corner of lot, not in violation of signs.

6/6 Chamberlain Street caller reported loud party on Bennett Street, 12:35 a.m. Spoke to homeowner who said he would bring party inside.

6/5 Loud party, Fraydun Place, 11 p.m. Parents were on scene for graduation party, over for night.

6/5 Gotta pay for street repairs. Party needed assistance with pay station. Card retrieved from machine.

6/5 Abracadabra. Leaf Blowers. Grace Church Street. Area canvassed. Negative Results.

6/4 Hand delivery. Walk-in reported altercation with her mail carrier.

6/4 Cars speeding in area of Barlow Lane, 12:28 a.m. Large group of youths on foot and in vehicles dispersed from area.

6/3 Four to five shots reported fired in BPR/Sonn Drive area. Canvassed area and surrounding area with negative results.

6/3 Hook Road complainant stated she had four coyote sightings recently, all on her property.
