Police Blotter 7/23: Stolen UPS Shipment, Fire in 10580 & Felony Warrant.

7/15 Female walk-in reported she fell in pothole at Purchase Street/West Purdy Avenue, near Chase Bank. She was not injured but worried someone else might be. DPW notified.  

7/14 Moving truck with no flagger created traffic hazard, Forest/Oakwood avenues. 

7/14 Marine unit removed large log from channel behind Milton Harbor House.  

7/14 Probably all that co-yoga. Coyote sighted, running through yards, Glen Oaks Drive/Hughes Avenue, 10:55 a.m. Looked healthy. 

7/14 Parting is such sweet sorrow. Forest Avenue homeowner found front, rear Jeep bumpers in bushes adjacent to Drake Smith Lane property. Wanted to make sure they were not stolen property before discarding. No VIN on parts, no complaints of missing vehicle. 

7/14 Liberté, égalité, fraternité! Fireworks reported coming from Milton cemetery. Checked area, nothing found; DPW reported kids setting off bottle rockets. 

7/14 Fire, Forest Avenue. Larchmont, Harrison, New Rochelle FDs on hand with Rye FD. Con Ed also on scene.  

7/13 How will self-operated vehicles handle this? Truck struck parked vehicle, Purdy Avenue/First Street, 12:58 p.m. Parties agreed to handle on their own. 

7/13 BPR closed! Traffic backed up, Cedar/Purchase streets, noon. 

7/13 Eponymous. Exit of Purchase Street driveway half-blocked by vehicle described as silver Nissan Rogue. 

7/13 Fire hydrant knocked over by truck that turned onto Cedar Place from Manursing Avenue. Visible tire tracks on grass. Water running down Manursing Avenue. DPW placed barricades.  

7/13 That Last Mile is a Long Mile. “Keep right of roadway” sign at I-287/Midland Avenue fell off post and was blocking road. Officer was able to move it, but sign was upside down, hanging halfway off post.  

7/12 Loud party, cars speeding, Dearborn Avenue/Everett Street, 10:34 p.m. Party dispersed, homeowner information gathered, forwarded to Detective Bureau. 

7/12 Ear-itating. Packard Court complainant stated her air pods along with tile were stolen from UPS shipment. Advised to document with RPD and UPS. Latter would conduct internal investigation.  

7/12 Deer struck dead by car in roadway, 2:48 p.m. BPR/Playland Parkway. 

7/12 Car stopped with felony warrant suspect, Central Avenue/Chestnut Street. Warrant executed. 

7/11 Assisted Mamaroneck PD with vessel that was taking on water. Dewatered, towed to Mamaroneck Harbor, and two passengers taken to Larchmont. 

7/11 Ven-less. Fraud. Walk-in reported Venmo fraud.  

7/11 Rules of the Road, red light violation, Purchase Street/Theodore Fremd Avenue. Summons issued. 

7/11 Caller reported boat sinking at Slip 187, Marina, Milton Road.  

7/10 Hydration in the Second Degree. Marriott manager stated guest threw water bottle at her. Party charged. 

7/10 Caller reported “strange” red car with NY plates, no window stickers, halfway down Orchard Avenue near Walnut Street. Towed by Vincent’s. 

7/10 They just disappear, like the mate to sock in the laundry. Complainant stated leaf blowers in use, Coolidge Avenue/Harding Drive, 10:37 a.m. At 10:47 a.m. Car 11 canvassed area with no results. 

7/10 Midland Avenue caller reported his vehicle had been stolen. 

7/9 Water was coming out of manhole cover at end of Brookdale Place. Desk contacted DPW in regard to said issue. 

7/9 Electrical fire reported, Topsail Lane/Van Wagenen Avenue, 9:31 a.m. RFD notified by 60-Control.  

7/9 They get cranky without snow and ice. Volvo received distress signal from vehicle on Mendota Avenue. Upon officer’s arrival, Volvo was unoccupied. Spoke to registered owner who stated she was having issues with the vehicle alarm. 

7/9 Milton Harbor House resident reported whole complex was without power. Con Ed notified. 

7/8 Caller stated animal, possibly rabid squirrel, was under trash can on Ridge Street driveway. 

7/8 Coyote sighting, Morris Court, 6:22 p.m. 

7/8 Complainant called regarding garbage dumped on New Street. Summons issued to property manager.
