 4/5: 27-year-old male having a “mental episode” was taken into custody around 9 p.m. after stabbing his brother in what RPD is treating as a domestic incident.  Suspect was charged with felony assault in the second-degree. He was accused pf entering residence of a member of the clergy who was known to him. When his brothers tried to help suspect, he reached for a butcher’s knife and stabbed one of his brother near a lung. According to Commissioner Michael Corcoran, victim was bleeding profusely when Officer Chris Salguero arrived and applied QuickClot to wound before he was taken to Westchester Medical Center for surgery. Commissioner believed Salguero may have saved victim’s life.

4/5: Bingeing on “Baywatch” again? Party in water on Rye side of Oakland Beach possibly needed assistance. Made contact with caller and party in question. No one in distress. Party went out for brief swim near shore and is fine.

4/9: Larceny from Great Stuff, Purchase Street. Sworn statement taken.

4/8: Caller reported black BMW illegally parked on corner by YMCA, Mead Place/Locust Avenue.

4/8: Hen Island party reported unknown person urinated in his water tank. He had no operating video system on property.

4/7: Midland Avenue complainant stated that when he left his home in the morning, he found a beheaded dead rabbit on his doorstep.

4/7: City Code violation. Landscaping equipment being used prior to 10 a.m., Grace Church Street. Summons issued.

4/7: Distressed sail. Coast Guard stated they received vessel in distress call from area of Port Chester Harbor. Port Chester PD stated they saw boat in distance but could not tell if it was in distress. Canvassed area with binoculars, no vessel visible in described area.

4/7: Holly Lane complainant reported an older male in bright blue 4-door car, possibly Honda, exposed himself to her 15 minutes before. The vehicle then drove off.

4/7: Complainant reported a boat washed ashore on Hen Island during last storm.

4/7: MVA, possible injuries. Vehicle pulling out of Manursing Avenue northbound into Forest Avenue after stopping at stop sign struck second vehicle on Forest Avenue by Drake Smith Lane. Summons issued to second vehicle for operating without license, only had learner’s permit.

4/6: Package taken after delivery, 150 Theodore Fremd Avenue. Video recovered from building super.

4/6: Six-foot male wearing heavy jacket, cap reported seen in tunnel under railroad tracks doing drugs, dropping an amount on ground. Area canvassed, negative results.

4/6: Neighbor reported making excessive noise, Chestnut Street. Spoke with caller, tenants, landlord about issue. Tenants, landlord said noise would stop. Caller instructed to call again if problem persists.

4/5: Caller was having trouble silencing CO detector with a battery issue. Assisted in stopping the beeping.

4/5: Halsted Place resident reported suspicious text on her phone. Unit sent to investigate. Sworn statement completed.

4/5: Verbal dispute between dog walkers reported over off-leash issue, Rye Town Park. Both parties spoken to.

4/5: Rotten apples. Orchard Avenue complainant stated vehicles violating 2-hour parking limit in front of her residence. PEO reported five parking summonses issued.

4/5: Report of party possibly stabbed. Multiple calls and 911’s from State Police/County PD regarding incident. BPR, 8:49 p.m.

4/4: Join the club. Dodge with Connecticut Plates occupied by two males having difficulty with pay station. Vehicle was registered to company that works on pay stations.

4/4: Caller stated she observed “shady” male in his 40s wearing gray coat, gray winter cap, and dark pants walking by former Mrs. Green’s towards Citibank. Said he had a “tall boy” beer can in his hand. Party was missing person from Jefferson County, no reason to detain him. To be removed from missing person’s list. City Code violation for openly consuming alcohol.

4/4: Caller stated there was a loud party going on near his home, Oakland Beach Avenue/Thorne Place, 11:41 p.m. Loud music issue was resolved.

4/3: Maybe drivers should rate passengers? Uber driver called 911, stated her passenger yelled at her, pulled her hair, BPR/Purdy Avenue. Report filed.

4/3: Coyote reported, Club Road, 5 p.m. Resident concerned due to dog being on property as well. No coyote, two dogs with proper collars on the property.

4/2: Caller stated coyote crossed through his Forest Avenue yard into his neighbor’s property, 9:21 a.m.

4/2: Curb repeal. Vehicle blocking real estate office driveway, McCullough Place. Summons issued.

4/2: Hit-and-run accident, Purchase Street. Party left scene after side-swiping other vehicle. Victim stated she would handle incident herself.

4/2: Caller stated she observed coyote running through Milton School field into Stuyvesant Avenue yard, then into her own yard, 12:46 p.m.

4/2: Female hitchhiker wearing green jacket, BPR/Playland Parkway. Stated she needed ride after her brother left her at location. Transported home followed by units.

4/1: That’s what the mic is for. Caller reported woman talking loudly in apartment complex, Chestnut Street. Resident was having argument on cell phone. Promised she’d keep it down.

4/1: Ditto. Dog walker reported sounds of verbal argument coming from Gagliardo Park, 10:21 p.m. Was party conversing with family via cell phone. Advised to keep noise down.

3/31: Rules of the Road. No proof of registration, turn at steady red arrow, BPR/Peck Avenue. Summons issued.

3/31: One of those Jedi nights. Caller stated his Morris Court neighbors’ kids were making too much noise, 11:40 p.m. Lightsabers turned off for night.

3/30: Caller reported construction noise at Community Synagogue, 6:13 a.m. Employees asked to shut off diesel truck and advised of authorized times for construction.
