Police Blotter: Explicit Language & More Shoplifting at CVS

5/11 Where’s the beef? Soundview Avenue caller heard arguing coming from his front yard. Upon arrival, nothing was observed. Instigators appeared to have left scene. Homeowner did not wish to pursue. Prior to leaving scene, one involved party approached officer to say he had lost his phone and provided a detailed report of incident. He did not want to write a statement.

5/11 Leaf blower did it. Caller stated landscaper had broken a window at his Woods Lane home. Advised party it was civil issue; no report filed.

5/11 How do they know? Palisade Road complainant stated there were multiple leaf blowers in use, 3:35 p.m. No leaf blowers observed in use, 4:07 p.m.

5/11 Where do they go? Caller stated there were leaf blowers in use, Robert Crisfield Place, 9:03 a.m. No violations observed, 9:15 a.m.

5/11 Sticky situation. PEO Glew covering school crossing near Resurrection School, Milton Road.

5/10 Do they come equipped with police band radio? Leaf blowers reported, Palisade Road, 4:28 p.m. No violations observed, 4:34 p.m.

5/8 CVS manager reported known shoplifter was in store, described as female wearing beanie. He wanted to advise party she was no longer welcome in the store.

5/8 Illegally parked vehicle, Manursing/Midland avenues. Summons issued.

5/8 Minor verbal disagreement in street near Highland Hall apartments, 12:13 a.m. No offense committed.

5/7 Suspicious person reported in area of Central/Maple avenues. GOA.

5/7 Caller reported skateboarders still in Rye Rec Skate Park, 8:24 p.m. Youths sent on their way.

5/7 Why do we bother? Leaf blower violation reported, Forest Avenue, 9:32 a.m. No violations observed, 9:38 a.m.

5/7 Rye Roadhouse was closing for night and there were several parties outside causing disturbance, 12:31 a.m. Advised to keep noise down.

5/6 Dirty shame. Caller stated loud music containing obscene language keeping his child from sleeping, Forests/Rye Beach avenues, 10:20 p.m. Condition corrected; parties moved inside.

5/6 Caller reported unsafe condition at Apawamis/Midland avenues intersection where storm drain has separated. Condition corrected.

5/5 Dark-colored sedan parked on Ellen Court reported running for 20-30 minutes. Was resident of the cul-de-sac visiting with her friend, just hanging inside vehicle.
