10/27 Probably meant intermittently. Dog complaint, Philips Lane, 10:47 p.m. Caller reported dog incessantly barking. 11 p.m. No barking heard.

10/27 Brown Avenue caller stated hose broke and she did not know how to turn it off. Assisted homeowner locating, then closing water line.

10/27 “Leaves are a national criminal menace.” — J.E. Hoover. City Code violation, leaf blowers, 2:23 p.m. Upon arrival at Grace Church Street location, 2:28 p.m., only one leaf blower in use. No violations observed.

10/27 Half-staff. Report of construction worker in road, no flaggers, BPR/Parsons Street, 8:20 a.m. Spoke to worker, Con Ed responding with flaggers, safety equipment. Work was stopped until their arrival.

10/26 Caller reported flooding, 7:11 p.m. Flooding was observed on north side of Locust Avenue by Mead Place.

10/26 At approximately 4:20 p.m., two logs removed from area of Fairchild Rock, Milton Harbor.

10/26 Caller reported large coyote in her Chester Drive driveway, 6:04 p.m.

10/26 Chastened. Caller reported children were playing on edge of water bank, BPR/Central Avenue; was concerned for their safety. Children spoken to and on their way home.

10/26 Caller reported injured deer, Milton Road/Playland Parkway. Animal dispatched with two handgun rounds. One casing recovered. County/City DPWs assisted with traffic, removal.

10/26 Check on Bowman Dam, 6:34 a.m. Water running faster, but still freely under dam, moderate rain.

10/25 Locust Avenue caller reported drainpipe dropping water into Beaver Swamp Brook on Apawamis Club property. He wanted officer to confirm water was exiting said pipe into Brook. Pipe was observed to be running off into stream from golf course.

10/25 Two parking summonses issued due to overtime parking complaint, Cowles Avenue/Hillcrest Lane.

10/24 Party stated his apartment smelled of gas, 8:03 p.m. The Highlands at Rye Purchase Street. RFD responding.

10/24 Intoxicated male, possibly injured, The Highlands at Rye, 6:25 p.m.

10/24 Suspicious vehicle, Central Avenue, 9:58 a.m. Caller stated black Infiniti with N.C. plates had been parked for several weeks. Vehicle belonged to resident; it would not start and owner was waiting for insurance estimate to cover damages caused by recent flood.

10/23 Sound advice. Caller stated kids were urinating on his Centre Street fence, 10 p.m. Parties advised not to do such things.

10/23 Caller reported unknown party damaged City light pole and his Martin Butler Court property sometime overnight.

10/23 Make that, occasional. Barking dog, Philips Lane, 1:55 a.m. Area canvassed, negative results.

10/23 Walk-in reported she witnessed three youths on top of Rye Ford service area who threw something. Area checked, negative results for debris, kids.

10/22 “There is no greater threat to our society than autumn leaves.” – B. Madoff. Multiple leaf blowers in use, Barbara Court, 2:19 p.m. Landscaper advised they were allowed only one blower in use at a time. Also, leaf blowers reported, Larkspur/Thistle lanes. No violations observed.
