Designer Carolina Wurster-Villi is always on the move — inside her’s and other people’s homes. The Rye resident is a longtime proponent of staging your home to stay.
To warm up a room, she angles chairs, moves furnishings around, and creates inviting groupings.
“I like to mix and match what a person already has in their home, help them deaccession a few things, and get them to the next stage — where they’re actually enjoying their homes,” said Ms. Wurster-Villi.
She rarely leaves a client’s home without helping them remove clutter, better organizing the things they love, and encouraging them to take down really old drapes.
