RFD Vet Tietjen Moves Up the Ladder

Kurt Tietjen, who has spent 24 years veteran at Rye Fire Department, 11 as a volunteer and 13 as a career Firefighter, has been promoted to Lieutenant.

 

Kurt Tietjen, who has spent 24 years veteran at Rye Fire Department, 11 as a volunteer and 13 as a career Firefighter, has been promoted to Lieutenant. His new duties include being shift commander and inspector.

 

Tietjen grew up in Rye and attended Osborn School. He and his wife, Heather, live in New Milford, Conn., with their two children, 8-year-old Nathan and Elizabeth who is 6.
