RHS Boys’ Track Wins League Meet

 

The Rye Boys’ track team won its league meet last week, with a score of 149, topping Byram Hills with 103 points, and Harrison with 94 points.

 

 

 

 

The Rye Boys’ track team won its league meet last week, with a score of 149, topping Byram Hills with 103 points, and Harrison with 94 points.

 

 

RHS senior Russell Hanson placed second in the 110-meter hurdles. RHS senior Aaron Matthias won the 200-meter dash and placed second in the 100-meter dash.

 

 

 

The Rye girls’ track team placed second in the league meet.

 

Head Coach Jim Yedowitz said the boy’s sprint medley relay recorded the fastest time in the state during an invitational track meet at Somers last weekend and is looking forward to the sectional championship May 30-June 1.
