A newly organized rowing club fared well during recent championships in Oyster Bay and Saratoga Springs.

At the Long Island Junior Rowing Championships on May 5: the Mens’ Varsity 8+ crossed the finish line just behind St. Anthony’s. After a strong start, coxswain Stevie Ortiz demanded from his rowers to take it easy in order to conserve energy. This strategic move paid off well in the grand final. The Varsity 8+ won the Supervisor’s Cup.
