For the sixth straight year, the Rye Police Association hosted a memorable Golf Classic. On September 12, foursomes of police officers, City officials, and friends hit the links at Apawamis Club in support of scholarships.

“We’ve made a commitment to the community to help raise funds for Rye High School students,” said RPA Treasurer Mike Kenny. “We’re excited to be able to increase the number of scholarships from six to eight because of the success of this year’s tournament.”
In honor of Joe Brendel, a longtime Rye Resident and big supporter of the association who died this year, the RPA created the Joe Brendel Rye Recreation Camp Scholarship Fund.
“We’ll depend on Sally Rogol to distribute those funds.”Later this fall, the RPA will sponsor a Toys for Tots drive, a Wounded Warrior Project, and a blood drive.
The RPA thanks all of its generous supporters.
