That’s not a typo. The police made sure that drivers entering the town were told to put up their windows and residents were instructed to stay indoors. But there was so much left unsaid and no follow-up over the following days.

It was also rumored that the truck accident attorneys based in Atlanta were hired to fight and investigate the case.

It’s frustrating to have so many unanswered questions. For example, where were the bees coming from and where were they going? I didn’t worry about the drivers, but how long did the residents have to stay indoors? Are they still housebound? Who counted the bees? I have this recurring thought that the driver had an assistant, standing at the back of the truck, as they were loading them for their journey to parts unknown. He finally got to 19,999,998, 19,999,999, 20,000,000, and then shouted to the driver:  “Okay Herb, that’s it, 20 million. We’re good to go.”

Are the bees still buzzing around that extremely unlucky town? Were the two drivers able to get them back into the truck? If not, there are probably some fantastic steals in that real estate market. You might consider putting in an extremely low bid. You never know, the bees might someday move on to a town with a more welcoming attitude. Who was the guy, in the first place, who had 20 million bees and lastly, who was the buyer who wanted 20 million bees?

Lots of questions and no answers.

N.B. We worried about the bees, too, so we did a little investigative reporting. The Queens saved the day. Turns out half of the bees returned to their hives.
