What’s happening at Edith Read? Winter walks in the woods.

What’s happening at Edith Read? Winter walks in the woods. The snow from Juno set the stage for a gorgeous walk at sunset followed by hot cocoa and warm cookies at the Sanctuary. LL Bean guide Skip, demo’d snow shoes and cross-country skis, and taught the kids basic orienteering.

All trails are open to foot traffic. The Friends of Read, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, invites you to come on down.

A friend of Read is a friend indeed.
