The 23rd Annual Long Island Sound Citizens Summit will be held Friday, April 25 from 9-3:30 at the Ryan Library at Iona College in New Rochelle. The keynote speaker is Albert Appleton, former Commissioner of the New York City Department of Environmental Protection and Director of the New York City Water and Sewer system. During his tenure, he developed and implemented groundbreaking innovations resulting in tremendous savings for the City.
Guests will learn about priorities for future action on the updated Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan, the blueprint for protecting the Sound.
