The Junior League of Westchester on the Sound will hold its Spring Fling Benefit Saturday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. at Winged Foot Golf Club.
The League will honor five local women for their significant contributions in making a difference in the lives of women and children in the Sound Shore community: Anne Avenius of St. Augustine’s Church Deborah Blatt of The Sharing Shelf of Family Services of Westchester, Melinda Lehman of Larchmont-Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force, Marissa Massa of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, and Missy Palmisciano of County Harvest.
This special evening includes a silent auction accompanied by delicious appetizers, cocktails, and live music. The silent auction will showcase fabulous items such as VIP tickets to the Westminster Dog Show, a Sunset Cruise on the Sound, a Family Fun Night in Port Chester, rounds of golf at Bonnie Briar and Winged Foot, Knicks and Yankees tickets, Zumba classes, and more.
Proceeds benefit charitable activities, including SMART Girls (mentoring girls in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club), Career Connections (assisting women seeking help with professional transition), and Project Madres (improving self-esteem and confidence in Spanish-speaking immigrant women so they can provide a better life for themselves and their children).
