Sounding the High Notes at RAC

A total of 160 students participated in The Rye Arts Center’s Music School’s 12 spring recitals.

A total of 160 students participated in The Rye Arts Center’s Music School’s 12 spring recitals. They performed over 250 selections ranging from classical to pop-rock.

Several of the students also performed original compositions.

The Arts Center offers music instruction for both children and adults in piano, voice, guitar, bass, drums, strings, and woodwinds. Emphasis is placed on tailoring lessons to meet the personal needs of each individual student. The instructors work closely with students to help nurture their abilities at all levels. This is what makes the program so successful.

Instructors include graduates of schools such as Juilliard, Eastman, Berklee, and SUNY Purchase Conservatory. Many are award recipients in international music competitions and are members of major symphony and opera orchestras. Several have performed with renowned musicians such as Michael Brecker, Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, George Benson, Alicia Keyes, Houston Pearson, and George Coleman.

Combining the talents of the instructors both inside and outside of the music studios, the hallways of The RAC continue to be filled with music!
