Under a picture-perfect sky the evening of June 6, hundreds of guests came out to support the Rye Historical Society at their annual benefit. The theme was Anchors Aweigh with a nod to nautical history. Graciously hosted at Harbour View, the home of Elizabeth and Robert Alexander, the benefit featured a live auction as well as many wonderful silent auction items. To the high bidder went a historic 1890 program from the American Yacht Club, which was immediately pledged on loan for display at the club.

All funds raised that evening will support the mission and programs of the Rye Historical Society as they preserve and share Rye’s history with the community.
