Steve Otis Has Proven His Worth

Beyond a doubt, Assemblyman Steve Otis is the best candidate for the office of Delegate to the State Assembly from District 91 in Westchester County. My first experience with Steve was last fall when I was attempting to cut through the red tape of getting an attraction sign on the Hutch. He was supportive and helpful.

Fast forward to Covid-19. As the owner of Boundless Adventures, I have been struggling. While golf courses and other business categories have been able to open due to their ability to social distance, I did not know how to get my voice heard. My business provides outdoor recreational activity that can be a valuable outlet for families, as well as a free destination for our first responders and other front-line medical heroes for much-needed mental health breaks, but we don’t fit into a generalized category.

Following my earlier positive experience with Steve, I decided to reach out to him, which proved to be the best decision that I could have made. While things seem bleak at times, Assemblyman Otis has been a shining light for me. He has been the leader that I have needed during this pandemic. He has offered productive suggestions, advocated for my business in Albany, and has spent a significant amount of time considering the challenges that my business faces.

While he has been the Assemblyman for NYS 91st District since 2013, he is now running his first contested race. His competitor claims she will “know and care about the people she represents and serve as their passionate advocate”. Steve Otis doesn’t need to tell us this because he has proven it time and time again.

Given his longstanding position in the Assembly, he serves as Chair of the Assembly Majority Conference. There are only 11 Chair positions (150 Assemblymen) which give our area an added voice. Prior to his joining the Assembly, Steve served as the mayor of the City of Rye for 12 years from 1998 to 2009.  He is the longest-serving Major in the city’s history. This is an unpaid position that demonstrates his longstanding devotion to serving his community.

Please consider voting for Steve Otis in the June 23 Primary. He is everything that we need.
