As the County continues to assess the damage done to Playland, officials have decided that the ice casino will not open for the 2012-2013 season due to structural damage from Hurricane Sandy.

Refunds, however, can be received by calling 813-7059.

Not only does this discourage recreational skaters, but it also prevents the Rye High Hockey Team from hosting any games. All other public events planned this winter at Playland are cancelled until further notice. The Garnets are practicing at Rye Country Day School and will be playing their “home” games at Pelham’s rink.
