Kathleen Glatthaar, a student at Fordham University, was initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Washington University in St. Louis has announced that a number of local students were named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester. Congratulations to Claire Elizabeth Gambee, who is enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences; Cameron Charles Kinker, who is enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences; and Alexandra Beth Neuman, who is enrolled in the College of Art in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.

Rye Country Day School senior Jelani F. Denis has been selected as a winner of a National Achievement $2,500 Scholarship. The National Achievement Scholarship Program is an academic competition established in 1964 to provide recognition for outstanding Black American high school students.

The Harvey School in Katonah has announced the names of local students who earned academic honors for the second marking period of the winter term. Alexander Ogg, grade 7, and Hunter Hoffman, grade 9, were named to the Headmaster’s List for achieving a grade-point average of at least 3.7.

Sara Hoffman, grade 7, Aidan Roberts, grade 8, Michael Wilson, grade 9, and Jackson Roberts, grade 11, earned places on the Honor Roll.

A number of students from Rye received honors for the winter term at The Loomis Chaffee School. Kelly Hanlon, a freshman, and Jack Bradley and Charlotte Giroux, both seniors, were named to the High Honor Roll. Yuki Watanabe, a sophomore, made Honor Roll.

Nicholas van Eck was named to the winter term Dean’s List at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut.

Margaret DeDomenico, a sophomore at Westminster School in Simsbury, Connecticut, earned high honors for the winter 2014 academic term.

Niamh McCrohan, a member of the Pomfret School Class of 2015, was named to the High Honor Roll for the 2013-2014 winter term.
