Chrissy Vita and Frankie Santorelli have teamed up to open Sundae Funday at 2 Elm Place, right next door to Longford’s and across the street from Al Dente Pizzeria and Restaurant.
Ms. Vita bought Longford’s in 1999, four years after the ice cream shop opened. She said bringing catered parties home to Elm Place has always been a dream for her.
“We don’t have the space at Longford’s and Al Dente’s doesn’t have the space to host parties, but we both cater birthday parties,” said Ms. Vita.
An ice cream social with the Easter Bunny is planned April 1, and Ms. Vita said a birthday party already has been booked for the first week in April. The shop is decorated with characters from Batman, to Lightning McQueen, to Snow White, and Dora the Explorer.
Parties can take on almost any theme. They can include entertainment by clowns, characters, musicians, karaoke, balloons, crafts, tattoos, and face painting. Beach parties or bead parties also can be accommodated.
In addition to pizza and ice cream sundaes, Sunday Funday offers popcorn, cotton candy, and goodie bags at their new sugar shack.
To book a party for up to 18 children, or for more details, call 967-1226, or stop by Longford’s or Al Dente’s.
